‘Compu-Porn’ Anger
I read Patt Morrison’s article (“Fun and Games, or Compu-Porn?” Nov. 14) and almost didn’t believe it.
A computerized pornography video program? One where the computer user must take an active role to operate the “game?” I guess I don’t want to believe it.
What is worse is to hear men’s comments on this program. To hear them view it as “a general recreational piece of software” and “It’s just a woman there and you do whatever you want to her.”
Most disturbing is “I can understand how a woman would think it would be abuse.” It’s obvious the man uttering this line doesn’t.
It is so frustrating to have men out there aware of women’s opinion of what is abusive, degrading and offensive. Now when can we have them believe us?
