Kudos for Kahn

I suppose a letter offering congratulations for a fine piece of writing should start with that favored yuppie term, kudos, but I refuse, since disgust with the baby boomers is why I’m writing. Alice Kahn’s satire of Dirk and Bree, the consummate materialists, is the kind of piece The Times needs more of.
The values of an entire generation have been co-opted by “benefit” concert promoters, the producers of “real-life” films and television shows, advertisers, restaurateurs, and the list goes on. Perhaps the old dictum should be amended to read: “Never trust anyone who’s “thirtysomething.”
