NATION : 3 Robbers Slain in Home Shoot-Out

HOUSTON — Three men wearing ski masks and carrying guns were killed early today after apparently trying to rob party-goers at a Houston home.
One resident opened fire, and three residents were injured in the gun battle, police said. “Apparently, they were going to go in to rob them,” said Sgt. Danny James of the Houston police. James said one of the residents pulled a weapon and the gunfight erupted, leaving the three dead and three residents slightly wounded. He said drugs may have been the motive for the robbery. A small amount of drug paraphernalia was found in the home.
