PIERRE, S.D. — Gov. George S. Mickelson was thrown off a snowmobile Saturday when he dropped into a 10-foot-deep ravine, and he was hospitalized in serious condition with a broken collarbone, four broken ribs and a bruise on his lung, press aide Gretchen Lord Anderson said.
