Sandra W. Meyer has been appointed to head a newly created Office of Corporate Affairs at New York’s Citicorp, the nation’s largest banking company. The office will direct worldwide advertising, public affairs, press communications and investor relations.
Meyer, who will take the Citicorp position on Feb. 20, is a managing director at Russell Reynolds Associates, an executive search firm.
Citibank said Meyer will rank as a senior executive. The new office is part of an attempt by Chairman John S. Reed to improve the bank’s external communications.
