The third gunshot fatality in 2 days occurred in normally sleepy Placentia on Saturday when a 23-year-old man was shot at a bar on West Chapman Avenue, police said.
According to witnesses, Oscar Adame, 23, of Placentia, was involved in a fight inside El Jaliscience bar, 642 W. Chapman Ave., about 7:40 p.m., Placentia police Sgt. Kim Redifer said.
Officers responding to a call found Adame lying in a parking lot in front of the bar. Orange County Fire Department paramedics treated him at the scene and transported him to Placentia-Linda Hospital, where he was pronounced dead of a gunshot wound to the chest.
Witnesses said two men involved in the fight fled through the rear door of the bar, Redifer said.
An earlier shooting victim, Evarardo Morales, one of two men who shot each other in a fight at the Azteca Bar, 310 W. Santa Fe Ave., died Saturday at UCI Medical Center, Redifer said.
Morales and Jose Camarena shot each other Friday night, Redifer said, and Camarena died that night at Western Medical Center in Anaheim.
