Kansas State Signs L.A. All-Stater

MANHATTAN, Kan. — Kent Bennett, an all-state basketball player from Manual Arts High School in Los Angeles, has signed a letter of intent to play at Kansas State, the school said today. Bennett, 6 feet, 6 inches tall and weighing 205 pounds, averaged 20 points and 10 rebounds for Manual Arts. “He has been an inside player primarily but has the ability to move out on the floor,” Wildcats Coach Lon Kruger said.
