Officer’s Keys in Right Pocket at Right Time

NEW YORK — A set of keys that plainclothes policeman Ronald Orgias put in his pants pocket Wednesday morning later saved him from injury by deflecting a bullet fired at him from an apartment window, police said. They said Mario Velez, 25, was arrested in the shooting, which started after plainclothes officers pulled over a car that proved to be stolen.
