Terminal Data Corp. said it lost $940,000 on sales of $6.3 million in the second quarter that ended March 31. A year earlier, the company earned $28,000 on sales of $7.1 million.
The Moorpark company, which makes equipment that converts documents to images for storage on disks and microfilm, said operating losses from a Menlo Park plant it is closing contributed to its problems.
For the six months, Terminal Data lost $861,000, compared to a profit of $215,000 a year earlier, with sales falling 14% in the period to $11.9 million.
