THE PREPS : Orange County All-Star Basketball Game : Swanwick Heads South Selections

Center Rick Swanwick of Trabuco Hills High School, named The Times’ county player of the year, heads the list of selections for the South team in the 24th Orange County All-Star basketball game June 25 in the Bren Center.
Swanwick averaged 20.3 points and 13.5 rebounds per game in leading Trabuco Hills to the championship game of the State Division III playoffs. Teammate Chad Poulos also was named to the 15-man squad.
Steve Keith of Irvine will coach the team. Keith led Irvine to the Southern Section’s 5-A division title game in his second year at Irvine.
