Sparky Anderson, manager of the Detroit Tigers, was resting at his home in Thousand Oaks, one day after he was diagnosed as suffering from exhaustion, and was told by a team doctor to take time off.
Dr. Clarence Livingood said Anderson, 55, has been having difficulty sleeping, prompting him to insist that the manager take a vacation.
