British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher’s Conservative Party has fallen 10 percentage points behind the opposition Labor Party, according to an opinion poll by the Sunday Times of London. The survey showed 47% of those questioned would vote Labor, a party that until a few months ago appeared torn by internal conflicts over defense and the economy. Only 37% supported the Conservatives. A poll last week in the Sunday newspaper the Observer gave Labor a 14-point lead over the Conservatives.
