An unemployed construction worker was sentenced to 16 months in jail Friday for stealing actress Barbra Streisand’s 1976 Mercedes-Benz.
Olin Lipscomb Jr., 35, pleaded guilty last month to one count of theft and unlawful driving of a vehicle.
Los Angeles Superior Court Commissioner Florence Cooper dismissed two other charges--grand theft auto and evading arrest--in handing down the sentence today.
Lipscomb took the car July 5 after Streisand’s secretary parked it near Alfred Street and Beverly Boulevard, police said.
