Swedes Charge 3 in Plot to Kidnap Businessman’s Son

Copenhagen, Denmark — Two women and a man were charged here Friday with taking part in a plan to kidnap the son of a Swedish businessman and demand a $25-million ransom.
The three, whose names and nationalities were not disclosed, pleaded not guilty to planning to kidnap Joern Rausing, son of Gad Rausing, former owner of the Tetrapak packaging company.
It was not clear when or where the kidnaping was to have been carried out.
