Hospital Sponsors Season’s Final Free Clean and Sober Beach Party for Teens

The second and final Clean and Sober Beach Party of the season will be held from 3 to 8 p.m. today at Newport Dunes Aquatic Park in Newport Beach.
The beach party, which is free to area teen-agers and their parents, will feature entertainment, teen-age celebrities, refreshments, games and souvenirs. Gale Webb, known as America’s Sports Mom, will present a demonstration of skateboarding and other high-energy sports activities. Webb’s slogan is “Get High on Sports, Not Drugs.”
Other celebrities expected to attend are Scott Nemes (“It’s Gary Shandling’s Show”) and Holly Fields (“The Big Picture”).
Tami Parrott, administrator of College Hospital in Costa Mesa, sponsor of the program, said, “This is part of our commitment to provide our youth with new options for fun, entertainment and self-expression without drugs and alcohol.”
