Alcohol Ads

Once more I read about a drunk driver killing someone on our streets and I am angry. I can’t help but wonder if some of the influence on our citizens comes from the fact that athletes are showing what a good time they can have drinking beer, or if you hang out with Spuds everything will be just fine or, if you drink Seagram’s coolers you can pick up girls with Bruce Willis.
I think that the time has come to stop advertising on television for all alcoholic beverages, in the same manner that the tobacco industry has had to only rely on the print media.
It would seem that the legislators in this country would do something, but I think that the time has come to start a ballot issue in California to ban all alcohol advertising.
