Deputy City Attorney Named Municipal Judge

LONG BEACH — Deputy City Atty. Gary J. Ferrari, 44, has been appointed a Municipal Court judge. He succeeds Judge James B. Pierce, who was elevated to the Superior Court.
Ferrari has been deputy city attorney since 1981. He was a deputy city prosecutor for 10 years before that. His appointment to the $82,054-a-year judicial position was announced by Gov. George Deukmejian.
