Teddy Davila of Cal State Northridge suffered a broken leg in Wednesday night’s California Collegiate Athletic Assn. soccer match against Cal Poly Pomona and will be sidelined for the rest of the season.
Davila, a starting freshman defender from Reseda High, injured his leg in a midfield collision in the Matadors’ 2-1 victory at Pomona. He will wear a cast from toe to hip for the next three months. Junior co-captain Keith Martin will replace Davila in the starting lineup.
Marla Reid, former women’s tennis coach at Occidental College, has been hired in the same capacity by Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Reid is a 1985 graduate from Cal State Northridge, where she twice earned NCAA Division II All-American honors. She played No. 5 singles on CSUN’s 1982 national championship team.
