Airline passenger traffic at John Wayne Airport climbed to 357,554 last month, a scant .037% over the 357,422 recorded in September, 1988.
Total aircraft operations dropped 0.9% last month to 42,502, compared to the September, 1988, total count of 42,869 takeoffs and landings, John Wayne Airport reported.
General aviation activity--which accounted for 82% of the total aircraft operations last month--showed a 1.7% decline when compared to the same month last year.
Meanwhile, air carrier flight operations dropped 7.1%, while commuter airline operations showed a 37.6% increase compared to the comparable period last year.
