AT&T; Settles Suit: American Telephone & Telegraph Co. and Intellicall Inc. said they have reached an out-of-court settlement on AT&T;’s lawsuit filed last week claiming the Dallas-based pay phone company was illegally using AT&T;’s card validation system. The agreement calls for an undisclosed payment by Intellicall to AT&T; to help fund the creation of a compliance program to permit AT&T; to monitor unauthorized access to its billing system. Intellicall also acknowledged AT&T;’s proprietary rights and agreed to modify its computer programming.
