Alamo Fails to Block New Airport Fees: The rental car company on Wednesday lost the first round of a Los Angeles Superior Court bid to block new fees being charged to rental car firms that pick up customers at Los Angeles International Airport. Judge Warren Deering denied a request for a temporary restraining order that would have blocked the Department of Airports from charging fees scheduled to go into effect today. Alamo will return to court Jan. 12 seeking a preliminary injunction against airport authorities. (Filed Dec. 26, 1989, Case No. C747508)
