PLACENTIA — An unidentified Anaheim man was killed Monday morning when he wandered into the path of an oncoming train in an apparent suicide, police and the Orange County coroner’s office said.
The 59-year-old victim, whose name was being withheld until his relatives could be notified, was struck by the train while he was walking along the Santa Fe Railroad tracks near the 300 block of Crowther Avenue and Melrose Street, Coroner’s Deputy William King said.
“All indications are that it was probably a suicide,” King said.
