The Philadelphia 76ers signed guard Corey Gaines, who had been playing with the Omaha Racers of the Continental Basketball Assn., to a 10-day contract. Terms were not disclosed.
Gaines, a former Loyola Marymount standout who was a third-round draft choice in 1988, replaces rookie guard Lanard Copeland.
