COMMUNITY COLLEGE WOMEN’S BASKETBALL : Orange Coast Holds On to Defeat Fullerton

Cindy Kollar scored 19 points and Erika Manning added 16 to help Orange Coast College defeat Fullerton, 56-46, in an Orange Empire Conference women’s basketball game Friday at Fullerton.

Fullerton (8-10 overall and 0-1 in the conference) trailed 23-19 at the half and was down by three with about two minutes remaining. That’s when Orange Coast (17-4, 1-1) went on a 9-2 run to secure the victory.

Stacy Johnson had 11 points for Fullerton.

Golden West 114, Cypress 50--Center Micki Hamilton had 22 points and 12 rebounds and guard Bits Sirchia had 20 points to lead the Rustlers (21-1, 2-0) at home. Golden West had six players score in double figures and led 57-22 at the half. Tami Bartley had 26 points for Cypress (0-16, 0-2).
