Aaron Pryor, former junior welterweight boxing champion, says he is dependent on drugs again.
Pryor said in a motion filed in Hamilton County Municipal Court in Cincinnati that he should receive treatment for drug dependency instead of a conviction for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pryor, 34, was arrested Sept. 5. Police said they found a pipe that could be used to smoke crack cocaine in the car Pryor was driving. He pleaded not guilty and was released on his own recognizance.
