AMI Predicts Quarterly Loss: Executives at American Medical International estimate that the company will have a first-quarter loss of between $50 million and $60 million. Corporate officers at the Beverly Hills-based hospital chain said the loss for the quarter ended Nov. 30 will stem from $120 million in costs incurred when IMA Holdings Corp. acquired AMI. The charges include fees to investment bankers and severance pay to AMI executives.
