Uwe-Jens Mey, the East German gold medalist at the 1988 Olympics, and Norway’s Johann Olav Koss won the windup events in a two-day World Cup speed-skating event at Davos, Switzerland.
Mey won the 1,000 meters in 1 minute 14.41 seconds, .85 seconds better than Uwe Steeb of West Germany. Koss won the 5,000 meters in 6:51.38.
