Paul Cook, founder of Raychem Corp., Menlo Park, will retire April 1 as chief executive along with Robert Halperin, president and chief operating officer. Stepping up from senior vice president to the positions of both chief executive and president will be Robert Saldich, 56. Cook, 65, will remain chairman, and Halperin, 61, will become vice chairman. He also will remain as chairman of the company’s Raynet subsidiary. Raychem makes plastic and metal products.
