Police are searching for a suspect in the barroom shooting of a Santa Ana man.
Eliseo Beltran Pineda, 38, was killed at My Place bar in the 1600 block of South Standard Avenue after the 10:45 attack Monday night. The suspect apparently walked up behind Pineda, who was seated at the bar, and fired at least three shots before fleeing, Santa Ana Police Sgt. Jim McDaniel said.
Although the shooting took place “in full view of a packed bar,” police have no suspects or motive, McDaniel said.
“Pineda apparently was well liked at the bar and had no known enemies,” he said.
