Bonita Vista 74, Sweetwater 31--Paula McNamee scored 17 points and Torril Purvis added 16 and 11 assists to lead Bonita Vista (11-4, 5-2).
Chula Vista 55, Hilltop 39--Lillian Casas scored 18 points to lead Chula Vista (6-9, 3-3) at home. Kelly McAndrew had 12 points for Hilltop (5-10, 3-4)
Grossmont 3-A League
Granite Hills 57, Monte Vista 41--Sallie Wade scored 18 points and grabbed 12 rebounds to lead Granite Hills (8-9, 1-0) over Monte Vista (7-7, 0-1). Nicole Parker added 14 points and six assists for Granite Hills.
Mt. Miguel 28, El Capitan 25--Monique Anderson had 13 rebounds and eight points to lead Mt. Miguel (5-6, 1-0). Melissa Hadfield led El Capitan (4-8, 0-1) with eight points.
Palomar League
Mt. Carmel 59, Orange Glen 38--Vicki de Jusus led No. 7 Mt. Carmel with 16 points.
Avocado League
Oceanside 33, Ramona 13--Mildred Conston led Oceanside with 16 points, 13 rebounds, nine steals and two blocks. Oceanside improved to 4-0, 12-4 overall.
Boys
Grossmont 3-A League
Monte Vista 89, Granite Hills 65--Joe McNaull had 29 points, 32 rebounds and nine blocked shots as Monte Vista won easily at Granite Hills. Jeff Polinsky added 27 points and eight assists for Monte Vista (9-6, 1-0). Scott Goergens led Granite Hills (4-13, 0-1) with 19 points. Monte Vista led, 49-21, at halftime.
Mt. Miguel 53, El Capitan 51--El Capitan missed a 15-footer with two seconds remaining as Mt. Miguel held on for the road victory. Shannon LaFever had 14 points and Chris Esquibel added 11 for Mt. Miguel (11-4, 1-0). John Duckworth had 18 points for El Capitan (9-9, 0-1)
Grossmont 2-A League
Valhalla 74, Grossmont 68--Tony Lee scored 28 points, Tory Temple had 17 and Brandon Chase 11 for host Valhalla (12-8, 1-0). Temple also had 14 rebounds. Todd Jaeger scored a game-high 27 for Grossmont (7-8, 0-1), Kevin Simon had 16 and Jaered Larson 15. Grossmont made four three-point shots in the fourth quarter to keep the game close.
El Cajon Valley 74, West Hills 46--Mike Stadler had 24 points and eight rebounds to lead visiting El Cajon Valley (2-14, 1-0). Charles Starks added 12 points for El Cajon Valley and Gil Velasco and Jamal Purnell each had 10. West Hills is 0-13 and 0-1.
Coastal League
Army-Navy 68, Santa Fe Christian 38--Phil Parks scored 25 points and Dan Cho added 16 to lead Army-Navy (6-8, 2-2) at home. Dave Ulrich led Santa Fe Christian (8-9, 0-4) with 12 points.
