Twelve people were selected Tuesday by the Pasadena Board of Directors to sit on the growth management task force, a group that will oversee the development of guidelines for Phase III of the city’s growth-management initiative.
Those named are Gordon Hamilton, Planning Commission chairman; Bruce Ackerman, Chamber of Commerce executive director; Ann T. Hight, chamber president; Bob Leishman, Board of Realtors representative, and Tim Matthews, a member of Pasadena Residents in Defense of our Environment (PRIDE), the group that sponsored the initiative.
Also named were Wendy Cobleigh, Community Development Commission member; Vasken Yardemian, former planning commissioner; Russell Hobbs, American Institute of Architects representative; Jaylene L. Moseley NAACP representative; Roland Zapata, Northeast Pasadena Residents Assn. member, and Sandra Romero and Edward Maya of El Centro de Accion.
The growth-management initiative, passed by city voters in March, limits annual construction for 10 years to 250 residential units and 250,000 square feet of commercial space for all projects larger than 25,000 square feet.
