Mola Centre, located on 40 acres in Irvine, is a mixed-use project that is designed as an urban village and features classic European styling. Grading has begun on the project, and five sculptures of white Carrera marble, created by artist Paolo Borghi of Italy, were unveiled as the centerpiece of the project last month. Phase I of the center is planned to include an office tower, a 164-unit residential condominium tower, other condominiums and apartment units, a 2,100-seat theater complex, a health club, a nightclub and a day-care center, as well as retail and restaurant space. Phase II will add a 450-room hotel.
