HUNTINGTON BEACH : Volunteers Needed to Clean Wetlands
- Share via
Volunteers are sought to work Saturday on “a major clean-out” of the Outer Bolsa Bay in the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.
Lorraine Faber, a board member of Amigos de Bolsa Chica, said that volunteers should report to the ecological reserve’s parking lot on Warner Avenue, near Pacific Coast Highway, at 8 a.m. Saturday. The cleanup will be from 8 a.m. until noon, she said.
“This is an opportunity to see the mud flats up close and personal, so wear old clothes and shoes,” Faber said. “Gloves will be necessary and wading boots desirable.”
The volunteers will remove debris, such as boards and tires, that have been thrown into the marsh.
