WORLD IN BRIEF : LEBANON : Abu Nidal Accused in Two Kidnapings

A Palestinian official accused Abu Nidal’s terrorist group of kidnaping two Swiss workers of the International Committee of the Red Cross, newspapers in Beirut reported. Zeid Wehbe, an official in the mainstream Fatah movement of the Palestine Liberation Organization, said the Fatah-Revolutionary Council headed by Abu Nidal was responsible for the abduction of Elio Erriquez and Emmanuel Christen, both orthopedic technicians with the ICRC. Erriquez, 23, and Christen, 32, were kidnaped Oct. 6 near the Palestinian refugee camp of Ein El Helweh on the outskirts of the port city of Sidon.
