PREP ROUNDUP : Fountain Valley Girls Defeat Long Beach Poly

Julie Workman had 18 points to lead Fountain Valley to a 66-58 victory over Long Beach Poly in a nonleague girls’ basketball game Saturday night at Edison High School.
Shanna Wilson scored 16 points, Jennifer Barbaro had 12 and Julie Murdent added 10 for Fountain Valley (13-7).
In nonleague girls’ basketball:
El Toro 92, Trabuco Hills 63--Sara Bone had 33 points and nine rebounds and Danielle Silva added 23 points and nine rebounds for visiting El Toro (16-5).
Woodbridge 76, Estancia 52--Belinda Taub had 22 points and Deanna Harry added 12 points and 20 rebounds for host Woodbridge (14-4).
In Angelus League boys’ soccer:
Mater Dei 1, Servite 1--Steve Mastropaolo scored 15 minutes into the game for host Mater Dei (16-6-2 overall, 2-0-2 in the league) and Lenny Romero tied the game 38 minutes into the second half for Servite (7-9-2, 2-0-2).
