Sheehan Takes Five-Stroke Lead in LPGA Tournament in Jamaica

MONTEGO BAY, Jamaica — Patty Sheehan shot a 68 Saturday to take a five-stroke lead after two rounds at the LPGA Jamaica tournament.
Sheehan overcame a bogey on her third hole and finished with a total of 137, five-under-par.
Lynn Connelly is second in the 54-hole tournament, the first of the year for the women. She also shot a 68 Saturday for a total of 142.
A stroke back in third is Cathy Morse. Alice Ritzman, who shot a 68 in the second round, is tied with JoAnne Carner and Missie Berteotti at 144.
Liselotte Neumann, who led after an opening-round 68, shot an 80 Saturday and is 11 shots behind Sheehan. Defending champion Betsy King is 10 strokes back at 147.
Beth Daniel shot a 76 for a total of 154. Pat Bradley shot her second consecutive 74.
