Braniff Inc. has named David Murchison, 41, chief executive. He replaces William McGee, who has resigned. Murchison’s appointment has been approved by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando division. The company filed for protection under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in September. Murchison has been vice president, general counsel and secretary.
