Scott McWhorter scored 12 of his 19 points in the second half to lead the University of San Francisco to a 70-64 West Coast Conference victory over St. Mary’s Saturday night in San Francisco.
Joel DeBortoli added 14 points for the Dons (7-12, 3-3), while James Dailey paced St. Mary’s (6-12, 3-3) with 19.
San Diego 64, Santa Clara 46--John Jerome scored 23 points for the Toreros, who went on a 22-6 streak in the second half at Santa Clara.
San Diego (8-10, 3-3) held just a three-point lead at halftime.
Santa Clara (2-4, 5-13) made only 17 of 57 field goal attempts.
