NATION : Suicide Report Delayed by Bowl

JONESBORO, Ga. — The husband of a woman who committed suicide waited to see the Super Bowl in his mother-in-law’s home before reporting the death, authorities said today.
Gary L. Holloway told police that his wife, Mary Helen Holloway, shot herself in the head after an argument, authorities said.
“I can’t explain this wild story. That game was so boring,” said Jim Mabe, a medical examiner investigator.
“He was possibly a little intoxicated at the time, and maybe shocked,” Detective Chris Butler said.
