Man Kills Two Stepsons, Then Wounds Himself

ST. LOUIS — A man took his two young stepsons hostage Friday after a dispute with his estranged wife, then fatally shot the boys and wounded himself in the shoulder, police said.
The man was identified as 28-year-old Marcus Atkins. He was listed in stable condition at St. Louis University Hospital.
The boys, ages 8 and 5, were found in the apartment after police broke down the door on hearing a shot, police said.
