Paper products manufacturer Kimberly-Clark Corp., Dallas, has appointed a new chief for the board’s executive committee, putting him in line to take over the company when its chairman retires. Wayne R. Sanders, 42, also was named to the newly created position of president of world consumer, non-woven and service and industrial operations. For now, Sanders will also continue as president of the personal-care sector and have additional responsibility for certain corporate administrative functions. The company’s current chairman, 63-year-old Darwin E. Smith, retires in two years.
