Army Gives TRW $33.4-Million Order to Help on New Tank

TRW Inc.’s systems engineering and development division in Carson said it has received a $33.4-million contract from the Army to provide systems engineering analysis to upgrade the Army’s next-generation tank and other armored equipment.
The majority of the work will be performed in Orange County, said program manager Joseph E. Santa. The contract will create about 150 jobs.
TRW said the value of the five-year contract could eventually grow to about $50 million.
