KCAL Newscast Dives: KCAL Channel 9’s three-hour prime-time newscast took a dive its second night out Tuesday, averaging only a 2.3 rating and 4% share of the audience for all three hours, down nearly 85,000 households from its debut on Monday, according to A.C. Nielsen Co. In Arbitron, the newscast fared even worse, earning only a 1.7 rating and a 3% share.
