MEDICAL MONEY: UC Irvine’s College of Medicine Foundation, the school’s principal fund-raising arm for medical research, has good news for the Regents meeting today. . . . In the past five years, its assets rose from $4 million to a $34 million. . . . “Last year was phenomenal,” says executive director Wade Rose, who credits aggressive fund raising and low-risk investments.
