The quietest politician on the Medfly spraying is Sen. Pete Wilson. When he was running for senator the first time, he went up and down the state shouting “What about the Medfly?” Then-Gov. Jerry Brown had been reluctant to spray people. Now that people have objected to being doused with this economic poison, let’s hear from Wilson on where he stands. As governor of California would he be another George Deukmejian? Come on, Pete, tell us. What about the Medfly.
