Fluor Daniel Gets $120-Million Pact

Irvine-based Fluor Daniel Inc., a unit of Fluor Corp., said Wednesday it has been awarded a $120-million contract to modernize an aluminum sheet-rolling plant in New York.
Fluor, an engineering and construction concern, said the contract, awarded by Alcan Aluminum Ltd. of Montreal, provides for engineering, procurement and construction management services for a major modernization program at Alcan’s facility in Oswego, N.Y.
The project will include upgrading the plant’s aluminum ingot casting and heating operations and modernizing the rolling mill. It is scheduled for completion in late 1991.
