Outboard Marine to Acquire Boat Maker

WAUKEGAN, Ill. — Outboard Marine Corp. said it was acquiring Grumman Allied Industries’ boat manufacturing plants and equipment in three states.
Under terms of the agreement, Outboard Marine would take over Grumman Boats plants in Marathon, N.Y., Arkadelphia, Ark., and Minong, Wis. Grumman Boats is a division of Grumman Allied Industries Inc., a unit of Grumman Corp.
