Passing on the Mask: Robert Guillaume, rumored for the past 10 days as a likely replacement for Michael Crawford in the Los Angeles production of “The Phantom of the Opera,” was officially declared Monday as having the job. According to producer Cameron Mackintosh, Crawford, who has been with “Phantom” here and elsewhere for 3 1/2 years, will be passing on the mask to Guillaume at the end of April. Crawford’s final performance at the Ahmanson Theatre will be April 29. Guillaume’s first will be May 1.
