Allan Leavell, who formerly played for the Houston Rockets of the NBA, was cited and released after he allegedly attacked a referee during a Continental Basketball Assn. game at Ventura.
Leavell was told to appear in Municipal Court at a later date to face possible charges after he allegedly struck referee Pete Quinn Friday night, leaving him unconscious for a brief period.
Quinn called a technical foul on Leavell for unsportsmanlike conduct, one of the three technicals called against Tulsa. Leavell alleged that Quinn cursed at him, Tulsa Coach Henry Bibby said.
