STANTON : City OKs Parking Permits for Area
- Share via
The City Council recently voted to require parking permits for several hundred spaces next to single-family homes.
Residents of the houses had complained that tenants of a nearby apartment complex were using all the parking near their homes.
Beginning May 28, parking on both sides of Sylvan Street and Verona Street, Kenmore Street from Tina Way to Stardust Lane, parts of Sherrill Street, and Stardust Lane from Magnolia Street to Sherrill Street will be by permit only. “There is insufficient parking available,” said City Manager Terry Matz. Apartment renters “should be parking in their assigned spaces. We believe there’s adequate parking for them there.”
He said two permits will be issued for every home in the affected area. Violators will be subject to parking citations.
